Ambassador Biraja Prasad presents a copy of his letter of credence to Foreign Minister of Tajikistan.

 Ambassador Shri Biraja Prasad presented a copy of his letter of credence appointing him as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Tajikistan to H.E. Mr. Sirodjidin Aslov, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan on November 20, 2015.

After the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Prasad held a meeting with Foreign Minister Aslov, where they discussed the state of bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest. During the meeting, Ambassador Prasad noted that Tajikistan was a priority country with which India would like to expand cooperation in all spheres. Looking forward to his tenure in Tajikistan, he said that it would be his endeavour to further strengthen the bilateral relations and enrich the strategic partnership between the two countries. 

On his part, Foreign Minister Aslov congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and said that India was one of the few countries with which Tajikistan has established strategic partnership. He expressed the hope that the new Ambassador of India will make great contribution to the further development and strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two friendly countries.
