Ambassador Biraja Prasad holds an interactive session with Tajik Hindi students and teachers

 On 25 November, Ambassador Biraja Prasad held an interactive session with Tajik Hindi teachers and students, who are presently pursing a one-year Hindi course at Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), Dushanbe.  The meeting was attended by more than 30 students.  During the interaction, the students thanked the Ambassador for organizing the Hindi classes at ICC and appreciated the role played by it in helping them better understand the Indian culture, which is so popular in Tajikistan.


Since its inception in 2003, the Indian Cultural Centre, Dushanbe has taught more than 800 Hindi students of Tajikistan.  At present, the Centre is running a regular one-year Hindi course, which is attended by 36 and 39 students in two batches at beginner’s level. 23 students have already reached middle level proficiency and are pursuing the course at advanced level.
